Historic Railroad Depot Goes Up In Flames

One of the few remaining remnants of the historic 1910 Western Pacific Railroad depot went up in flames Thursday afternoon on Main and Union streets in Stockton.

Portions of the depot had been set aside for preservation after most of the century-old building was demolished for safety reasons after a series of fires. The mission-style arch, left after a fire in June 2017 consumed most of the building, was destroyed in the most recent fire.
